WATER SOLUBLE POWDER

COMPOSITION: Each 1g contains:
                      Colistin sulphate                            6000 000 I.U.    

PROPERTIES:
Colistin (Avico) has  bactericidal activity against Gram – negative bacteria such as E.coli, salmonella spp., Klebsiella and Pseudomonas, in poultry, calves and other young  animals. Like Polymyxin, Colistin is poorly absorbed from the G.I. tract and, therefore, it has no toxic effect if given orally.

Indications:
It is indicated for the treatment of Enteritis in poultry, calves and lambs caused by E.coli, Salmonella, Shigella and Klebsiella.

DOSES AND ADMINISTRATION:      
Poultry:
20 g per200 Liter of drinking water for 3-5 days, or (80 000 I.U./kg b. weight)
Calves and Lambs:
0.5 g per 25kg body weight  for 3-6 days, or (120 000 I.U./ kg b. weight)
Overdosage:
Excessive dose may cause in-coordination and skin sensation. These symptoms are not seen at the normal  recommended dose levels.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Medication should be stopped 3 days before slaughtering.

STORAGE:
Store at a temperature below 30 C.
Store in a dark place.
