Water Soluble Powder For Oral Administration

COMPOSITION: Each 1 g. contains:
                         Oxytetracycline HCl (active)               200 mg.

PROPERTIES:
OXYTETRACYCLINE It is a broad spectrum antibiotic and is active against a large number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. Species of Streptococci, Staphylococci, Anthracoids, Pasteurella, Brucella, Corynebacteria, Erysipelothrix, Coliforms, and Salmonellas are sensitive, Some Rickettsia and the large viruses are also affected and activity against other organisms such as Pseudomonas, Proteus, is useful but is less than Polymyxin. It is effective against some protozoa and certain helminthes also.

INDICATIONS:
OXYTETRACYCLINE 20% is indicated for treatment of infections caused by bacterial and mycoplasmal organisms in Poultry i.e. CRD, Sinusitis, Infectious Coryza, Pneumonia, Blue-comb, Air sacculitis, Infectious synovitis.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
• Poultry: 1 gm. per 1 Liter of drinking water for 5- 7 days.
• Large animals: 10- 20 mg. Oxytetracycline (50- 100 mg. OXYTETRACYCLINE 20%) per 50 kg. Body weight daily, for 3- 5 days.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS AND WARNINGS:
Do not administer to adult ruminants.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Poultry: 5 days.
Large animals: Meat: 15 days.
                         Milk: 2 days.

STORAGE:
Store at a temperature below 30 C.
Store in a dark place.
