Meadow Sweet with honey is a high fibre, low energy mix ideal for all horses and ponies at rest or in light to moderate work. Fully balanced with vitamins and minerals, it contains Baileys Alfalfa Blend chaff which provides a delicious digestible source of fibre for non- heating energy, as well as quality protein for tissue development and repair. Free from whole oats, the cereals are carefully micronised for maximum digestibility, whilst soya oil provides essential fatty acids for excellent coat condition and is an additional source of slow release energy. This light and tasty mix is gently coated with natural honey thus keeping the molasses content to a minimum.

A number of health giving benefits are associated with honey and “these include containing an array of vitamins and minerals, some of which are antioxidants, as well as containing natural sugars which act as prebiotics by providing a food
source for beneficial gut bacteria. A liberal dusting of spearmint, which is known to have a soothing effect on the digestive tract, also adds an irresistible aroma and flavour and makes the mix even more tempting for fussy feeders or for those receiving medicines or additives in their feed.
